I finally finished it! The Infinity Ring series is a new series, developed by James Dashner, that will involve the writing from various authors. I had never heard of Dashner, but I've definitely heard of Lisa McMann and Jennifer Nielsen, who are both authoring books in this series. So, I had to give it a go.
Quite honestly, this book took me two tries to finish. I had read the first two chapters months ago, and it just didn't call to me. But, authors that I like will be writing future books in the series, so I had to try again.
This book is about friends who have to time travel to fix breaks in time. I was hoping that this would have the history of National Treasure (a movie that I really liked). While I liked idea of history being incorporated in books, I found that the novel didn't explain the history as much as I would have liked. Perhaps this will improve in future novels.
I found that the characters were a bit stereotypical: history buff, scientist ... but I could get over that.
In all, I didn't love this book, but it was alright. I am going to read future novels to see if I like them any better.
Book can be found in: Mrs. E's classroom library.
